hi!
i am working on my thesis project of " art institute", on detail designing , i m working on architecture department, i want to have some views, what positive aspects of your architecture departments has, what are the best qualities in your point of view that your departmane has,
, i will be glad to have some inspirational ideas,

There should be a jury place. And that place should be visible from all the classes so everyone can attend the jury if he or she wants

the studio is a laboratory. it functions as a space where ideas are born and buried, where desire and creativity catalyze skill and ability to produce things of beauty.

its a flexible, spacious, messy place of undefined edges and personal thresholds, active by day and bouncing by night.

pin up spaces
drafting tables
walls with all sorts of stuff stuck on them.

plan the building in a way that will let the students unplan it.

When we think (i mean for design) we are used to take our proportional references from our surrounding spaces. We understand and learn to perceive how long is 20' in reality from one of the 20' walls of our design studio.

This should be a building which will inspire them to understand proportions, climatic orders and the 'time' it belongs to.

In our studio Professor Shamsul Wares used to shout on us "why don't you people even look at the place you are working in? See your studio, clear exposure of structural system, beautiful proportions, climatically correct openings to ensure light and air... learn from your nearest assets."
