I have got some works on autocad. Like i have to make CAD drawings of a 1300 square feet flat. They will do me basic layout and i will draw detail floor plan in autocad. But i dont have any idea about rate of money. Can you tell me what kind of amount should i ask for it? Edited Wed Jul 11 2007, 12:35pm | ||

it depends... on the volume of the work and how much time[actually not only time but also the stress on your brain] will it consume. or you can ask for 5 to 10 Tk/sft |

Mainly depends on the type of work, be sure one thing is it just a 'drafting' job or you have to 'design' too? If it is design then it will cost more. I'm not sure about current rate although... try Rubel's rate and negotiate with client and lets see what they say. |

Hey guys, AutoCAD can be a beast sometimes! I'm pricing out a detailed floor plan for a 1300 sq ft flat, given a basic layout. Feels a bit like navigating a tricky level in Snow rider , gotta find the perfect path! Anyone have experience with AutoCAD rates for this kind of work? I want to make sure I'm asking for a fair amount. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. |

yeah this is a pretty common situation when starting out with CAD work. since they’re already giving you the basic layout and you just have to convert it into a detailed floor plan in AutoCAD, your pricing should depend on how much detailing is expected. for a 1300 sq ft flat, if it’s just a clean floor plan with dimensions, labels, and standard details, beginners usually charge somewhere reasonable rather than going too high. but if they expect electrical layouts, furniture placement, or multiple revisions, then you should definitely increase your rate. one thing i’d suggest is don’t go too low just to get the work, because that sets a bad precedent. you can either charge per square foot or a fixed project price, both are common in this kind of work. also, try to clearly define what’s included before starting, like number of revisions, level of detailing, etc. that saves a lot of back and forth later. and honestly, having a clear understanding of costing helps in related areas too, like when people use reliable flooring estimating services for accurate budgeting, same idea applies here with your time and effort. maybe start with a fair price, see how much time it takes you, and then adjust your rates for future projects. visit website: https://kellyestimating.com/csi-trades/flooring-estimating-services/ |
