what is the purpose of this space?
furniture required to decorate this space.
principles of this space
consideration of light and ventilation to design this space.
and so on.

 Do you have the copy of Complete works of Luis Kahn? Try collecting it for some days. It will help you a lot to understand about the light of reading spaces.
Contact Sanjeed in your school, as far I know he had a book just related to these lighting details by Kahn. Collect that book and try to grasp the details in roofing and openings.

 i think Le corbusier is also good for your topic .. you can collect or a buy a book of Le corbusier's work. May be it ll help u a lot..
