BTC means Bachelor in Construction Technology. Is it? However, in Bangladesh we do 5 years of B.Arch after our 12 class. After that one can specialize in M.Arch in some sectors like Landscape Architecture, Urban Deasign, Housing, Construction Management, History of Architecture, Architectural Philosophy etc. |

hi!!! in india you've got two options, after class 12 u can either do architecture(B.ARCH-architecture, 5 years) or interior designing(B.ARCH-ID, 5 years), however ID is very rare to find in colleges, in madras we've it in our college, just last year it was introduced

My opinion is, if B.arch and B.Arch-ID both are 5 year course then why to go for ID? Interior Design is a part of architecture.. if it is then why not we firstly enrole in core architecture in B.arch? after the 5 years in b.arch, no doubt anyone can easily do Interior Design related works. Then why to make someone typed in ID in undergrad level? After passing out from core B.Arch anyone can do their M.Arch in ID isn't it? Let go with core architecture in general B.Arch not in Interior Design. |

thats what buddy... i tell people the same.. if u do architecture u still learn id and have the option to go for id in the higher studies too..but if u opt for the id in the beginning itself, then i feel its limiting oneself.....

That's great decission. But, Ritu please notice one thing from the next that we prefer members to write the whole word of English not internet short-hand like 'thnx' instead of 'thanks' in archsociety forum. Please try to avoid short forms words. Thanks for everyone's cooperation. Keep writing.. n enjoy. |
