Plinth is the place i had passed my most time in my architecture life... at our campus in BUET we have a really beautiful plinth... a place, the memory of which i m gonna cherish rest of my life anD i m jus sure about it. now-a-days u cannot jus sit around and gossip, bcuz our annual exhibition is going on, but in the rest of the term we used to sit there anD talk about many a things, including politics to music anD off course architecture. the interaction of students from different batches happens mostly in this plinth anD when ever i got stuck in design problems i used to go to the plinth anD find any senior bro/sis anD discuss it with them. i remember one day, i was jus stuck with my hotel project (i was only a second year anD jus cudnt got the grasp of the project )so i got down anD found Zinu bhai( of fifth year second semster) anD Shammo bhai (of fourth year second semester) only anD asked whether they cud help me... Zinu bhai got down jus after his disaster prili anD really wasnt in a mood anD Shammo bhai was jus gossiping around...but when they found me in the verge of tears... they jus said bring it ... i brought them...anD they really helped me a lot in tht day... i dunno whether they remember it or not... but i will remember that help... anD then the other day ... we were there gossiping peacefully ... some brought their guiters anD played them... some was singing.. after our picnic... those moments are really precious... now... its ur turn to tell us some stories about ur precious moments in your plinths... our university dont have any plinth. there are two dangerous guard always stand in front of the 6 storied building and we have to show ID cards. The building was going to be broken by bulldojer of Rajuk, somehow it has save. There are lots of column in the class room. We have nice toilets. they are very neat and clean. we have a nice computer lab. and also a good library. We dont have any elevator. its very difficult to go in 5th floor with project with elevator. We miss seniors. cause we are the second batch. for little problems i have to ask teacher or archsociety. We have a canteen with good foods. but foods are very costly. Shingara 4 taka. chotpoti-16 taka. eggroll-12 taka. chiken roll-27 taka, fried rice 40 taka........ | ||

This is our plinth: This is the place where we used to pass our most of the time Here we are.... A fabulous day in rain Shironamhin performs in our plinth. Campus plinth is a big part of our study life. It gives us a lot... but it takes a little... it takes nothing but good times Plinth removes the fatigue of studio, plinth is an energy recharger. Here at our department of architecture of the University of Asia Pacific we are like a family. I can die for getting back all the happy times with my seniors. They gave us a lot. Still the senior and junior rendezvous on the plinth is really a big part of our study life. It gives fun, it teaches a lot too. Having tea, cigarettes, gossiping for all the day, playing cricket, arranging cultural events, hi-hallo, laugh and cry... that's our plinth. I'm in love with it. Edited Tue Mar 27 2007, 02:57pm |
