Its the 8th International Student Design C9ompetition organized by the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA). This time the host institute is the Sri Lankan Institute of Architects (SLIA).
The title of the submittal design is 'A Memorial to a Memorable Event"
Competitors are invited to make proposals for a memorial commemorating a significant past event in their own country, or the country in which they are studying. The event should be real and worthy of remembrance. It could be a political, sporting, cultural or historical event such as a famous speech, a battle, a protest march, sporting success, disaster, human migration, musical performance, act of bravery, revolution, strike… anything.
Sounds interesting! However we are late to publish this news. The submission deadline is 29th January and the participants are required to send their hard copy submission to Sri Lankan Institute of Architects office.
