there should be phone number in profile.

it would be helpfull to many people in emergency.
[it might be hidden by request;only visible when anybody logs in/& not mandatory]

i would request you to think again over the issue.
the internet is is really a place of fun. but as the information is open to all. just some one registered and can ahve access to the information it may cause you pain too.
so from my long experience i would rather suggest not put such personal information published on internet.it may invite huge hazard. and the fun turned in to pain. at the same time like your phone number never give out any kind of password, bank account number, credit card number. you really never know how vulnarable it can go. so rubel think it agian. i would better say that if at all you are interested to get to any of our phone numbe pm him or her. pm is more secured way to exchange personal informations within ourself. lokking for others opinion.

Not only registered members… our profiles are now public! Anyone even the search engine robots can also crawl through the profile pages.

I was thinking about giving an option to add phone number to the profile. People who feel free to publish it to the world they may add it. And who will not want to write he/she may not write.
I’m also looking for other’s opinions.

I have added a field in the user settings so that members can write their phone numbers there.
And for security:
1. Only members can see the phone numbers (it's not public)
2. Members will have the option to hide their phone numbers from other members.
3. Writing phone number is not mandatory.
